Natasha Bartlett-Twivey – A Fabulous Faux Flower Florist

Natasha Bartlett-Twivey is owner and MD of Ferris Heart Sloane which is a florist business that specialises in artificial flowers.

For the majority of her career, Natasha worked in in-house marketing roles and with many well-known brands. She and her husband then decided to buy an artificial flower business as an investment opportunity and as a way to work on around their first daughter and new home.

Now that her daughters are both at school, Natasha has been able to focus on her business and it has gone from strength to strength. Ferris Heart Sloane proudly includes Marks and Spencer and Ralph Lauren in its’ list of customers.

On Rosh Hashanah it is customary to greet one another with blessings and good wishes for a good year, as Rosh Hashanah celebrates Jewish New Year. So, last year we were so pleased to be asked to create a beautiful Rosh Hashanah display in-store for Marks and Spencer’s.

Meaning ‘a good year’ we really wanted to create a display that infused a celebratory feel and made shoppers feel welcomed into the store. Apples and honey are a traditional food for the holiday, and we wanted to ensure our display complemented that; we mixed greenery with florals and added some single stem bouquets in vases to add a beautiful touch.

So, if you want to create a beautiful display for Rosh Hashanah, or any other religious holiday, do get in touch. We are so proud to get the chance to celebrate a variety of different festivals and will happily follow a specific brief.

We understand that organising events, especially birthday parties and baby showers, involves a lot of planning and agreement. Come to us with a date and location and we can suggest some fantastic places that work well for your group and the rest of the plans you have for your day or weekend. We can also suggest add-on activities based on any extra information you provide us with.

Our workshops last for two hours and one of team will teach you how to make a bespoke but simple and super fun floral hoop. The workshop is perfect for crafty creatives and girls and boys who just want to have fun.

We supply a wide range of flowers and greenery for you to pick from on the day. The majority of which is not available on the high street. Interested in a theme or specific colours, no problem, message us with your ideas.

You can enjoy a 2 ½ hour workshop along with optional bubbly, mulled wine and mince pies we can provide. Not only will you leave with something you’ve created yourself (tucked in a bag to transport your wreath home), you would’ve had the most amazing time – if we do say so ourselves.

Bloom Up Your Business – How To Dress Up A Shop Front, Bar And Restaurant…

We’re more than sure you’ve noticed the rise in floral displays at restaurants and shops over the past year. We’re also positive this is more than just a phase or trend, as let’s be honest how can pretty flowers beautifying doorways become boring?!

Over the past few months we’ve been lucky enough to work with some fantastic businesses to help elevate their exterior, or interior, with our beautiful floral displays. Our latest project was at the Stag pub in Mentmore. They wanted to spruce up their entranceway with some colour and opted for our beautiful wisteria which we draped lovingly over their classic doorway. This is just a small way that we think makes a huge difference, look for yourself.

Our flowers have also been used to help decorate numerous bridal dress stores to sit alongside their bridal attire and really set the scene.

So how can you use blooms to brighten up your business? If you have a customer facing shop, you can pick from a large variety of our luxury faux flowers, wisteria, or garlands and use them to decorate your shop window and accentuate your products. Or, if you want to vamp up the interior of your restaurant, café or bar, you can try a flower wall (perfect for Instagram shots) or a faux flower arch for your doorway.
