A Floral Design Company With A Difference

If you’re new to the site, and new to Ferris Heart Sloane, we thought it only right we introduce/ re-introduce ourselves and tell you exactly what we have to offer.

Using both natural and faux flowers, we’ve become synonymous with beautiful floral design for personal commissions, private installations and more. Over the past few years we’ve worked with some of the UK’s leading brands, including most our most recent fresh and faux flower project with YouTube, Google, Polo Ralph Lauren, Bare Minerals, Adventure Bar Group to name but a few.

Our fresh approach to floral design sees us working on a range of contemporary projects stemming from weddings, summer events, bridal showers, and commercial installations, and any creative design projects you can think of.

The secret? As well as creating beautiful faux flower installations that last all season long, our floral design work involves us working with fresh flowers too and combining them both to create a texture, smell and look like no other. This makes our work a little bit different from others and stand out from the crowd.

Case Study – Fratelli Woburn Winter Floral Installation

Serving luscious, hearty, fresh, and totally authentic Italian dishes, Fratelli Woburn is an award winning, family owned restaurant managed by three brothers Carmelo, Mario and Antonino Di Giorgi. United by a love of simple Italian produce, prepared and cooked with passion, Fratelli Woburn makes all guests feel like part of the family.

What was our brief?

Carmelo Di Giorgi contacted us to find out if they could hire and whether we could create interior decoration for a marquee they were planning to add to the garden area of the restaurant in the autumn, winter through spring months. Aside from some practical and health and safety related considerations, we were tasked with leading on the selection and styling of luxury artificial flowers and greenery.

What was our design approach?

We wanted to create a warm and inviting dining environment, one that surprised and delighted guests on stepping into the marquee.

We crafted an ‘Italian banquet’ bursting with lush flowers and greenery framed on a vintage ladder which was hung across the top of the marquee. We also styled metres and metres of our bespoke vine and ivy garlands which we thought would work perfectly in the build-up to Christmas and then softened for spring during our New Year visit.

The same applied for the table decorations – we combined oak log slices with a selection of small glasses vase with clusters of flowers and accompanying greenery which worked beautifully for the Christmas season and equally when we switched the arrangements as spring started its approach.

We asked Carmelo whether he thought he got a return on his investment? And if he was happy with the work of our team?

“We were very happy with the care and thought with which Ferris Heart Sloane created and installed an original design. We got a lot of compliments which supported strong bookings in our marquee, and the high quality floral and decorative products they selected definitely married with our brand. We’ve since gone on to ask the Ferris Heart Sloane team to work with us on a number of projects for our Ampthill restaurant Cicchetti, which include the selection and planting of palms in our dining area and a hanging floral staircase.”

Shanah Tovah – Beautiful New Year Decorations

On Rosh Hashanah it is customary to greet one another with blessings and good wishes for a good year, as Rosh Hashanah celebrates Jewish New Year. So, last year we were so pleased to be asked to create a beautiful Rosh Hashanah display in-store for Marks and Spencer’s.

Meaning ‘a good year’ we really wanted to create a display that infused a celebratory feel and made shoppers feel welcomed into the store. Apples and honey are a traditional food for the holiday, and we wanted to ensure our display complemented that; we mixed greenery with florals and added some single stem bouquets in vases to add a beautiful touch.

So, if you want to create a beautiful display for Rosh Hashanah, or any other religious holiday, do get in touch. We are so proud to get the chance to celebrate a variety of different festivals and will happily follow a specific brief.

Introducing The New Hexagon’s To Our Floral And Botanical Walls

In geometry, a hexagon (from Greek ἕξ hex, “six” and γωνία, gonía, “corner, angle”) is a six-sided polygon or 6-gon, and we just LOVE the shape and styling opportunities it creates.

Here at Ferris Heart Sloane, we are experienced in creating bespoke shapes for floral and botanical walls from small to super sized. We’ve created a 3-D heart for Marks and Spencer and a large scale Pride wall for Ralph Lauren in a more traditional square. And now we’re super excited to introduce some Hexagon’s into our range.

Pictured is our 2m Hexagon which comes in plain wood, styled with florals or our new botanical monstere green and gold leaf. The hexagons are available for purchase or hire nationwide and we can can create them from 1-5 metres in size. Want the hexagon painted gold or covered in baby blue roses, chat to us!

Christmas Venue Decoration Done Differently….

Gone are the days of tinsel draped over a doorway, or self-made bunting, now businesses are looking to make more of a statement with their venue’s Christmas decorations. How do we know this? Excitingly for us, last year we were asked by a number of businesses including Adventure Bar Group, Fratelli Italian, and more, to jazz up their Christmas interior and/or exterior decoration.

We love a challenge, and we were very excited to create some gorgeous festive displays. From enchanting Christmas wreaths at Nikki’s bar in Shoreditch, to winter-wonderland inspired garlands at The Escapologist in Waterloo, we couldn’t have been more in our element. Not only do Christmas decorations gear the venue up for the season, it’ll bring a smile to the faces of your clientele – plus some brilliant Instagram shots.

Another thing to remember is, try and get your Christmas decoration planning done in good timing, so when people enquire about booking your venue for their Christmas party, you’ll have something to show them, the more festive the decoration, the better in our eyes.
